I have bet on countless of hands of twenty-one. I started sneaking into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have gambled on online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. With all that said I have still lost an abundance of money at vingt-et-un. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the house.
I still enjoy the game and bet on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have wagered on a type of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this method or beat the casino, nonetheless you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the fact that vingt-et-un seems to be a match of runs. When you are on fire your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I wager with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I do not win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. As soon as I win I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the wager back down to the original amount.
I am very disciplined and do not back out. It gets extremely exciting sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your bets go up very fast. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a few times now. I departed a $5 table at the Luxor a few years back with $750 after 35 mins using this method! And a number of weeks ago in Vegas I left a game with $1200!
You have to understand that you can lose a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be surprised at the runs you notice wagering this way. Here is a chart of what you would bet if you continue winning at a 5 dollar game.
Bet 5 dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the first $5 bet
Wager 5 dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total bet of $10
Wager ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the initial ten dollar bet
Wager 10 dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total bet of $20
Bet 20 dollar
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 20 dollar wager
Bet $20
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $40
Wager $40
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the original forty dollar bet
Bet $40
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $80
Wager 80 dollar
Take 80 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original eighty dollar bet
Wager eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 160 dollar
Wager $160
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the original 160 dollar wager
If you left at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!
It is hard to go on a run this long, but it can happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and lower your bet or the end result will not be the same.
